It was reported that … On January 4th
2007, the BBC reported that 2007 would become the “warmest year on
record”. Citing
experts in the British government’s Meteorological Office, the story
announced
that “the world is likely to experience the warmest year on record
in 2007”,
surpassing the all-time high reached in 1998.
Instead, 2007 was no warmer than 2006, which was no
warmer than 2005 … or any other year going back to the turn of the last
century.
Indeed, the warmest year on record remains 1998.
What does this mean? It means that there
is no evidence of “global warming” for almost a decade. Atmospheric
carbon
dioxide – the identified culprit responsible for global warming
(according to
Al Gore), has risen four percent since 1998 – but the
temperature didn’t
go up correspondingly!
Is the scientific debate over or has it just been
suppressed? Now, this is a fact. Despite Al Gore’s oft-repeated
contention that the “debate in the scientific community is over”
– it
isn’t. The scientific debate over global warming has just been
suppressed. The
simple truth is this – there is no scientific consensus on global
warming. Last
December, more than one hundred scientists signed a strongly worded
open letter
in which they said that climate change is a well-known natural
phenomenon!
Coldest on record Last Winter was among the
coldest on record in South America.
In Buenos Aires, it snowed for the first time in 89
years. Chile’s Winter was the worst
in
50 years and was blamed for at least $200 million in crop losses. In
Australia,
June 2007 was the coldest on record. Snowfall in New
Hampshire in
December 2007, broke a record that has stood since 1876. The Canadians
experienced their coldest Winter in fifteen years.

warming concert in Johannesburg, South Africa, brought on the first
snowfall
there in 28 years.
The world entering a ‘cold snap’ Oleg
Sorokhtin, a senior scientist with Russia’s Academy of Natural
Sciences, says
that the world is entering into another cold snap, similar to that
experienced
between 1940 and 1975. (Which followed a warming period from 1900 –
1940, which
broke a four hundred year old cold cycle, which had broken a four
hundred year
cycle of warming).
The coming Ice Age in 1975 I recall the
breathless 1975 warnings of a coming Ice Age with the same clarity that
I
recall the first breathless warnings of global warming in the late
1980’s.
Since losing the 2000 US election, Al Gore turned it into a personal
crusade.
And now we’re pretty much convinced that global warming is real, it’s
started
getting colder again.
FACT: SCIENTISTS DO NOT AGREE THAT GLOBAL WARMING IS
CAUSED BY MAN.
Many people swallow the lie of global warming because so
called scientists are pushing it. These scientists run the risk of
losing their
funding and their careers if they bring forth any opposing views. Many
good and
honest scientists reject the notion that man causes global warming. For
instance:
Dr Richard S. Lindzen, Professor of
Atmospheric Sciences at MIT says,
“Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that
the early 21st Century developed world went into hysterical panic over a
globally average temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree.”
Professor Bob Carter, Marine
Geophysical Laboratory at James Cook University, Australia says that “Gore’s circumstantial arguments are
so
weak that they are pathetic. It is simply incredible that they,
and his
film, are commanding public attention.”
Princeton physicist, Freeman Dyson says that
computer models are an unreliable means for predicting climate change …”They
are not yet adequate tools for predicting climate.”
Dr Fred Singer, distinguished
research professor at George Mason University and author and editor of
several
books addressing climate change says that climate changes of the past
have
never led to catastrophes. He says “The Medieval and Roman
warmings, with
their intervening cold periods, present a huge problem for the
advocates of
man-made global warming.”
Senator James Inhofe, though not a
scientist, is Chairman of the Committee on Environment and Public
Works. After
much study of the global warming issue, went on record and said that
the present
global warming movement is “The greatest hoax ever perpetrated on
the
American people.”
FACT: GLOBAL TEMPERATURES APPEAR TO BE RISING
LIKE
NEVER BEFORE.
Temperature readings are based on unreliable ground
station readings and not satellite, balloon or mountain-top readings
which show
no significant increases. Why? 1. The ground stations are not evenly
distributed across the globe. 2. The Soviet Union closed many of their
stations
in Siberia. Now if temperatures aren’t monitored in colder regions,
then of
course the global average reading will rise. 3. Most stations are
located in or
near urban and industrial areas which show higher readings than most of
the
rural planet.
FACT: TEMPERATURE
CHARTS ARE SELECTIVELY DOCTORED
Temperature charts are conveniently and misleadingly
drawn up with the Medieval Warm and early 20th century Warm
Period
missing.
FACT: CARBON DIOXIDE IS A NECESSARY PART OF NATURE, NOT A
POLLUTANT, AND THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT IT CAUSES TEMPERATURE TO RISE
Scientific Studies show that temperature increases occur before
carbon dioxide increases and not the other way around.
FACT: THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC DATA THAT PROVES GLOBAL
WARMING IS CAUSING ANY SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN SEVERE WEATHER TODAY.
William Gray of Colorado State University, is one of the
world’s foremost hurricane experts. He said in 2003 that “Some
individuals
will interpret the recent upswing in hurricane activity during 1995 and
1996
and (my expected higher-than-normal hurricane activity in the next
several
years) as evidence of climate changes due to man-made greenhouse gases.
There
is no reasonable way that such interpretations can be accepted.”
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall
go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be
raised up
from the coasts of the earth.” (Jeremiah 25:32)
“Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in
fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head
of the
wicked.”
(Jeremiah 23:19)
“Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth
with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the
head of the
wicked.” (Jeremiah 30:23)
God causes hurricanes – not man!
FACT: GLACIERS HAVE BEEN ADVANCING AND RECEDING FOR
THOUSANDS OF YEARS. This is normal. Scientists know of over 30
different periods of glaciers growing and then retreating, and none of
these
has led to a global catastrophe.
FACT: MELTING POLAR ICE CAPS WILL LOWER SEA LEVELS
If ice occupies 10% more volume than water, then floating
melting ice caps will actually lower sea levels.
Gore predicts that Manhattan could end up 20 feet under
water. The website www.co2science.org
states that “At the current sea- level-equivalent ice loss rate of
.05
millimeters/year, it would take a thousand years to raise global sea
level by
just 5cm, and 20,000 years to raise one meter.”
NOW WHAT DOES SCRIPTURE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS? “And there shall be signs in the sun,
and in
the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations,
with
perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them
for fear,
and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for
the
powers of heaven shall be shaken. (Luke 21:25-26)
In addition, Jesus says “And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must
come to
pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against
kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,
in
divers places. (Matthew 24:6-7)
The fear is global. It isn’t hard to
notice from the above scripture, that this fear is global. Nations are
in distress
and perplexity over these things that are coming upon the earth. There
is a
fear of the changes that are about to happen. While many changes will
occur
with the climate in the end times, men’s perceptions will cause them
great
fear.
Climate is controlled by God himself Scripture
also says that climate is controlled and regulated by God himself. He
has
promised in Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and
harvest,
and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not
cease.”
Let not your heart be troubled. Global warming is nothing more than a natural occurrence that comes and goes with time. It has never been catastrophic and never will be till God gives the order and not man (2 Peter 3:10). Yes, it is coming, but not the way man thinks it is.
