BULLSEYE!
ACCURATE
BIBLE KNOWLEDGE!
QUESTION:
“My mind is like a petrol-soaked rag! Just the smallest spark and I
lose
control!”
ANSWER:
When
Israel conquered
other nations, the first thing God told them to do was to destroy all
the
pictures, molten images and idols. As the scriptures say
“Then ye
shall drive out all the inhabitants of the
land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all
their
molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:” (Num 33:52)
Why?
God knew other cultures,
their ideas, their thoughts and their pictures and idols, would all
affect what
they thought.
The
educational
philosophy today is to “bring it out into the open” and have “the
conversation
we need to have”. So they apply this to sex education for young
children. This
goes against what the Bible teaches.
So they
get the kids
thinking about all this stuff and then this becomes their thoughts upon
which
they dwell. This is evil! How to
destroy young children and your own thought
life? They get small children to start dwelling and thinking on these
things.
Then
out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and the actions follow.
“A good
man out of the good treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil
treasure of
his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of
the heart
his mouth speaketh.” (Luke 6:45)
The Bible
clearly states “Commit thy works
unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Prov 16:3) Your works? Yes, these works are what you
see, hear, do, places you go and so on – newspapers, TV, internet,
friends and
acquaintances.
“For all
that is in the world, the lust of the
flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,
is
not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1 John 2:16)
Our minds
are like petrol-soaked rags that can
burst into explosive flames unless guarded all the time.
As the
scriptures say “I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be
not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect,
will of God.” (Rom 12:1-2)
