“WHEN THEY SHALL SAY ‘PEACE AND SAFETY’
OR IS IT JUST ‘PEACE AND SECURITY’?”
The English Standard Version says security
not safety.
This article demonstrates how The King James Bible is
its own unique dictionary with horizontal word study;
not only using
formal equivalence but with contextual exactness.
The King James Bible clearly states …
“For
when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction
cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not
escape.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:3)
The
English
Standard Version says …
“While
people are saying, “There is peace and security”
… (1 Thessalonians 5.3)
“Why
change the word from ‘safety’ to ‘security’?”
“is
there any difference?”
“Which
is right?”
And
so Dear Reader, I went to four sources looking for the
difference
between the meaning of the words ‘safety’ and ‘security’?
1.

…
and the end result can get you more confused than ever.
However
what I realized was this … that ‘safety’ and ‘security’ have things in
common …
but a person in safety is more safe, than a person who is in security.
Put
it this way, all things that are safe are secure, but not
all things
that are secure are necessarily safe.

In
a
Venn diagram, safety is a smaller circle within a larger circle
of
security … that is … safety ≠ security as it is a smaller subset of
security.
Another
example is … if I put money into a safe, I know it is not only has
security …
but also free from theft … that is … it has safety as well.
However,
if I put money into secure place, it may not be safe from theft.
And
so Dear Reader a horizontal word
study in the King James
Bible becomes necessary … it being its own unique Dictionary
and the true
revealer of the meanings of words in their context.
So
what is the Bible’s definition of safety?
“I
will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only
makest me
dwell in safety.”
(Psalm 4:8 KJB)
Dear
Reader, can you see that?
Only
the LORD can make us live and dwell in safety.
The
world can not give us peace and safety.
According
to the ESV, the English Standard Version, the world gives security.
But
as the world says safety, as recorded in the King James Bible …
this
must mean that the world is lying, as it can only
give security
according
to the English Standard Version of First Thessalonians chapter 5 verse
three.
And
this means the English Standard Version is the lying
version for
people who love being lied to.
