Let me explain … Mt
Grider of “Now
The End Begins” mistakenly believes that
the war of Revelation 20:7-9 is not the war
that takes place after the 1,000
year
Millennium, stating it occurs before the war of Revelation
19! He reverses the order!
Furthermore, he
mistakenly states there are two different
wars in
Ezekiel
38 and 39
… with the war of
Ezekiel 39 occurring before the war in Ezekiel 38! Once
again he reverses the order
of chapters!
In addition, he
wrongly believes the war of Ezekiel 39 is the battle of
Armageddon of Revelation 19!
… and the war of
Ezekiel 38 is the battle at the end of the Millennial
reign of Rev 20:7-9!
Only God knows why,
but the end result is still the same, in that, “Professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools … (Romans 1:22).
The Bible
says they are not wise to compare themselves among themselves
(2 Cor 10:12 )
It’s a false type
called “CONTEXT-ITIS” … and like many Bible
commentators, he tells us
what he thinks the Bible MEANS rather than what it SAYS.
HOW
DOES THAT WORK?
Firstly, you take a phrase or words, in one part of the Bible, and see
it or them mentioned in another part of the Bible, …
then wave your magic wand and say “Da! Da!”
… which leads you to assume that the context is the same in both cases.
Secondly, you throw your
own thoughts into the mix to add to the
confusion.
He sees the
words
“Gog” and
“Magog” in Ezekiel 38:2,3,14,16,18,
which also appear in the battle context of Revelation 20:8, and wrongly
assumes
they are about the same battle … therefore coming to the false
conclusion that the
context is the same in both cases.
Without a shred of
Bible evidence, Mr Grider imagines Israel can only
dwell safely after the 1,000
year reign of peace! So there you
have it folks … Mr Grider wrongly concludes that the Millennial battle
of
Revelation 20:7-9 is the same battle occurring in Ezekiel 38.
So he scratches his
head and says … “Now if I have just shown that
Ezekiel chapter 38 is the Millennial Battle of Revelation 20:7-9, where
am I
going to put the war of Ezekiel 39?”
No. Not enduring sound
doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3), he is awarded the
title of Official Bible Corrector which is
given to those
who don’t like the way God wrote the Bible.
No problem for Mr
Grider … he simply ignores it. After all, he doesn’t
let the facts of scripture get in the way of a good story.
IS
MR GRIDER WRONG?
There is a little word
… “Therefore” (Ezekiel
39:1) which is the first word of
the chapter.
You know …
the waw (vav) consecutives and the waw (vav) conjunctives? No, we have
something far better, and it’s called English. We can
take comfort there is the plain reading
of God’s words that “… giveth
understanding unto the simple.” (Ps 119:130)
Just as God
says “I have not spoken in secret
from the beginning …” (Is 48:16),
we can be assured there are no cryptic or
hidden
meanings, that the Gridlocked Pied Piper would have us believe. God’s word
does not say one thing while meaning something else.
Jesus said “…
I spake openly to the world; … in secret
have I said nothing.” (Jn 18:20).
Comparing scripture
with scripture (1Cor 2:13), let
us examine the same verses Mr Grider uses, to falsely say that Ezekiel
39 and
Revelation 19 are the same war …

and fowls eating flesh, but there
are HUGE DIFFERENCES in the details as follows:

well.
There is no time
separation between Ezekiel
38 and Ezekiel 39 … as the latter is a CONTIGUOUSLY JOINED (welded
side
by side with no time gap in between) description of the former.
